Memory Bradley Art Classes

As a full-time artist, I spend my time working in the studio creating art for exhibitions and galleries as well as in classrooms teaching the techniques I have learned over the past several years.

As a sculptor (polymer and paper clay) as well as a fiber artist (wet and needle felting with wool and other fibers), I teach at various venues year-round.

I teach 2-3 workshops each month at Mesa Arts Center’s studios in both wet and needle felting. To the South, I teach at The Vision Gallery (Chandler, AZ) in both children and adult programs. I have also taught creative aging programs at ASU in the Ceramics Research location.

Currently, I am expanding my teaching to include Boyce Arboretum and ongoing private/small group instruction at a private studio in Northeast Mesa.

Previously, I spent 5 years working at BASIS Mesa schools as a teacher, starting in the primary school and moving to middle school/high school arts. My last classes taught in the school system were 3D Arts and Ceramics for high school as well as 5th grade Fine Arts. In my final years there, I served as a mentor for new teachers to help train them in classroom management procedures.

My goals in the classroom are to create engagement opportunities where students can have hands-on experience utilizing techniques to express their own artistic visions. I like to inspire joyful experimentation as well as introduce proper handling techniques for them to learn and apply skills in new mediums.

Overall, I have taught hundreds of students ranging in age from 8 to 98 years old. I absolutely love teaching and I find it is an honor to educate our community on the joys of working with your hands to bring life to sculpting materials, wool, paper, or clay.

Most of my classes, private or in a classroom, include a kit to keep, allowing you to continue to explore the techniques at home.

Interested in a class with me? Sign up for my monthly newsletter where I do my best to share my upcoming classes. Or, follow me on Instagram and Facebook at @MemoryBradleyArt.

In addition to those venues, I do teach privately in your home or venue to groups up to 10 students. Please reach out for more information. It is a really fun way to get a group together, learn a new skill, and have fun exploring your creativity.

Kind Words from Students

Thank you once again. What a wonderful play and learning experience. I feel so very fortunate to have you as a guide, teacher and cheerleader. Your individualized instruction for 12 different learners, all with different skill levels, interests, and expectations is truly exceptional. As always your treasure box of play things was generous and oh so fun. Thank you for meeting me where i am at, and encouraging me on my creative journey. I felt truly supported. So grateful!

It was a treat to learn about needle felting from you at the workshop. It opened a new world. Your complete love of the fiber arts is lovely to see and experience.

Thank you so much for the wonderful Needle Felting Class. You gave us so much information, and helped each of us. There are people who are good at a particular thing but not good at teaching to others. You did a great job instructing us on how to do it. It’s a little scary to take a class at my age, but I was very comfortable. Thank You.

Thank you again for a wonderful class yesterday! I really thought prior that I’d never get a good end product design wise! But I love mine! You’re a wonderful teacher and appreciate all you did to make sure we all succeeded! Everyone had beautiful creations in the end!
